Well, today is my first day as a Stay-At-Home-Mom. So far, we are doing really well!
Last night, Katy fell asleep to the hum of the bathroom fan (thank you for that tip, Aunt Shelly) around 11. We have all finally moved back to the 3rd floor bedroom, so I was glad to see that she slept well in the new room. She awoke around 3:20 to nurse, and then was asleep by 4! This is pretty good, as it can sometimes take an hour and a half from the time she wakes up for a nighttime feeding until she goes back to sleep. We woke up again around 6:15 and nursed while we watched Daddy get ready for work.
Then Katy hung out in her sling (snug against Mommy) while I ate breakfast and took care of a few chores.
Once Zach left, I put Katy in her carseat in the bathroom and took a shower - my first home-alone shower since Katy was born! I was so nervous that she would cry the whole time, but she slept. Then we got ready - I even blowdried my hair and put on makeup while she laid awake happily in her bassinet, gazing at her Tigger rattle (thank you, Uncle Jarrod).
Next, we went to 2 yard sales, where we got 2 shopping bags crammed full of baby clothes (up to 18 months) for a total of $10! We are so frugal! :)
Now we're home, and Katy's just waking up for some snuggles and milk...

Hey, SAHM, sounds like you're taking to the world's MOST important (and most difficult job) like a pro! Your daughter is beautiful. Hang in there. Hope we get to come visit soon!
