A note from Mommy

Hi everyone! This is my first entry since the arrival of Katy (or Katie - correct spelling is still TBA). We are glad to be home, and feeling good! Katy is napping, something she does well during the daylight hours, but not so well at night. :)

Katy and I are spending a lot of time getting to know each other and getting our breastfeeding routine established. She is like her mommy - likes to eat a little at a time, but VERY often. Katy's daddy is right by our side all the time - helping to feed and take care of me (since I've been instructed to avoid stairs for a couple weeks) and doing a great deal of the diaper changes and ALL of the housework and shopping. Zach has also been spending a lot of time snuggling Katy and enjoying the silly faces she makes.

This is such an amazing experience. Who knew you could fall in love this fast?

Okay, that will be all for now because Miss Kate is ready for her next meal and snuggle.

It appears that this is still a competition! I missed my Uncle Frank's entry for some reason. It was in an email to me dated 7/14/07. It has come down to these two entries - if Bethany delivers in the next few days, Jarrod wins - after that it's Frank with his August 1st entry.

Here we are in our new house! We are pretty much settled, and are enjoying our new place and our new town. Now all we need is for our baby to arrive!
