4 months from our due date!

Hey everyone,

We're busy as usual, but we had another sonogram today and we want to post the pictures right away. The baby was moving around a lot, and we got to see some great close-ups. Most exciting were the feet (moving around incessantly like Dad's), the head (shaped like Dad's), and the lips (shaped like Mom's). We are 5 months pregnant now - four months left! We can't wait to meet our little one!

I'm feeling well, just a little slower than usual when it comes to walking around. We are working hard at finishing up grades for Quarter 3 and getting our grad school work done.

21 weeks

We just took a new belly picture. I'm 21 weeks along today, and that's about 4.5 months. The baby had its first iPod experience today. The first song ever piped into the womb was "Across the Universe" by the Beatles. We played several Beatles songs, and later we played about a half-hour of Mozart. Baby likes to dance with Momma!

Also, we went to Nicolas's 1st birthday party yesterday. Aunt Bethany and Uncle Zach got him a child-sized basketball net. We are hoping to see him as a guard on the Terps in about 18 years. Here's the little baller's most recent picture. It went through the wash, which is why it's a little messed up around the cheek area. Does he look like anyone you know? :)

Welcome!

Although I'm starting this blog for a grad school class, I've had it in my plans for awhile now. Zach and I are going through a lot of changes right now, and this is an easy way to connect with our people while we're so busy or far away.

My vision for this blog is for our friends and family to feel free to visit anytime to look at our pictures, see what's new with us, and communicate with us (and each other) by posting comments. I will do my best to keep it updated with news and recent pictures of our family as it grows.

To set the current scene, we are now 20 weeks pregnant with "Number 3" (Number 1 being me and Number 2 being Zach). The new-and-improved due date is July 22. Our baby loves to move around, especially as I'm falling asleep or watching a Maryland basketball game. We are finishing up our last semester of our Masters degrees at Johns Hopkins (graduation: May 17), and we are also both teaching full-time (last day of school: June 15). That's why you hardly ever hear from us!
